The Super Eagles of Nigeria has qualify for the Russia 2018 World Cup making them the first African side to book their place in theWorld Cup having beatin g the chipolopolo of Zambia in a 1-0 victory in the Godwin Akpabio Stadium in Uyo. The goal came in the second half of the game with the Nigerian substitute Alex IWobi who eventually breaks the deadlock due to a slight mistake madde by the Zambian side. The Super Eagles of Nigeria are 6 points clear from the Zambian side who eventually is in the second position in the qualifier table with 7 points. The Uyo stadium experienced a huge celebration from the fans and the entire Nigerian football crew which includes the players, each of the players ytogether with the football crew was seen displaying their customized shirt with the caption “Russia 2018”. It will be recalled that the Nigerian side defeated the chipolopolo of Zambia in their home soil 2-1 bearly fifteen days of their coach taking charge.
They join other countries like Brazil, Spain, Mexico, England, Germany, Iran, South Korea, etc. who have also booked their places at next year’s tournament.
