My Opinion - Should Nuclear Weapon Be Outlawed Worldwide?

Author: Osondu Martins Uche

Sequel to the argument, I will like to expatiate the concept of Nuclear Weapon.
A general name given to any weapon in which the explosion result from the energy released by a reaction involving atomic nuclei, either by fission or fusion with two lighter hydrogen ones. Thus, Atomic bomb and Hydrogen bomb are both nuclear weapon. Fission weapons are referred to as atomic bomb while fusion weapon are also referred to as thermonuclear bomb or hydrogen bomb. Nuclear weapons produce enormous explosive energy.
Over the years, countries who own nuclear weapons prove to be the most dominating and powerful nation. It will be recalled that the Japanese in 1945 experienced a massive destruction in Hiroshima and Nagasaki during the Second World War between 1939-1945, recording about 120,000 death cases and tens of thousands more which would later die of radiation exposure, all these in clamouring for power. The aftermath effect of nuclear weapon causes more harm to people than even the blast itself.

I have tried to come to a logical conclusion on the positive effect of nuclear weapon and I stand to be corrected, there is no positive effect except clamouring for fame and power.
Some of the effect caused by this weapon include:
Psychological damage: it causes neurotic symptoms which includes general fatigue, amnesia and lack of concentration, recalling the occurrence and becoming upset and feeling of guilt.
Physical damage: it ranges from nausea, bleeding to death, cancer especially leukaemia and lymphoma.
This made me think, why on earth should nuclear weapon be accepted in the first place. My opinion “it is the worst invention ever made”.
Barely yesterday as at the time of putting this together, the US moved Nuclear Submarine to Korea after Kim Jong-un missile threats. The powerful nation failed to realise that each soul is as important as the nation itself. Many would not succumb to these but it should be said that half of 1% of the explosive power of the deployed nuclear weapon can create nuclear darkness and these is an effect on climate.
Effect of the blast

I laughed at Russia and US because they felt that keeping hundreds of missiles armed with thousands of nuclear warheads 24 hours a day is the best way to prove how powerful they are. The funniest thing is that the weapon can be launched with only a few minutes warning and reach their target in less than 30 minutes. I asked myself, what if the world can invent something that will change the world positively in less than few minutes and get to their target in less than 30 minutes.
Sequel to the argument, I strongly suggest that the nuclear weapon be outlawed worldwide because it causes more harm than mere clamouring for power and fame.
